Canadian communciation collaboration
PRESS RELEASE dated 2004-09-28
Technical communication is a key growth market in the modern economy, and universities and colleges around the globe are teaching this subject to budding technical writers and information designers.
Sheffield-based TechScribe is proud to be helping the students of Mount Royal College (www.mtroyal.ca) in Canada. "We are delighted to be providing content for the student handbook for the new academic year," said Mike Unwalla, Principal of TechScribe. "Our web content is highly regarded by many professional and educational organizations around the world. This small contribution to the two undergraduate courses will help to put the digital industries of Yorkshire on the global map."
Dr Glenn Ruhl, Chair of the Technical Communication and Electronic Publishing programmes at Mount Royal College said, "We were in the process of developing an orientation handbook for students entering our degree programme in technical communication. We reviewed the TechScribe website, and we thought it would be very interesting to include the glossary of technical writing terminology in our handbook."
The handbook contains a variety of interesting facts, helpful hints and important information. It is given to every first year student as an introduction to their programme of study. "The information contained in the planner will help students to make the most of their educational experience," said Dr Ruhl, "thank you so much for your help."
