Extra files for compiled HTML Help

Microsoft compiled HTML Help requires additional files for Windows 95 and Windows 98 systems. Possibly, these files were installed by other applications. You must check your system and the systems of the end users.

Files needed to run compiled HTML Help on Windows 95 and Wndows 98
Note File: HHUPD.EXE File: HHActiveX.dll
Download file name Hhupd.exe (self-extracting zip) HHActiveX.zip
Used for Automating the installation of Microsoft compiled HTML Help system files that are required for compiled HTML Help Additional functions (browse sequence used in the sample help)
Supplied by Microsoft Adobe (www.adobe.com) (before Adobe, supplied by Macromedia, eHelp, and Blue Sky)

To manually install and register
  1. Save the file.
  2. Double-click HHUPD.EXE. It automatically installs and registers the required system files.
  1. Unzip the file.
  2. Copy HHActiveX.DLL to Windows\System.
  3. In the Run dialog box (Start, Run) type:
    regsvr32 hhactivex.dll
